Sometimes, just like in an exam situation, I experience a mental blank whilst creating a piece of art. I felt much the same way with this painting, and that is what I have captured here. The skull as a conceptual framework without a fully formed idea, the lettering as an expression of my indifference at the moment of creation. “What’s the matter?”
A very spontaneous work, shaped by emotion and mood.
