The wheel of a watermill as a symbol of the flow of time and the course of life; concrete certainties are to be depicted here through clear lighting conditions, whilst certain ambiguities are to be conveyed through formal means
Gouache and coloured pencil on acrylic paper, 30 x 40 cm
Lenya Taubert
Her works feature images with motifs or symbols that seek to describe the chosen theme or the state being depicted. In the painting process, these are combined – through overlaps, deliberate omissions and the use of different planes – to form a composition that is as dynamic as possible. The aim is to create works that invite the viewer to observe closely and allow for a variety of interpretations, which need not, however, correspond to the original intention.&
Individual elements are intended to remain ambiguous or even enigmatic, thereby enabling the viewer to return to the work at a later date and rediscover it.
She has been with SKM since February 2024.
