“Very, very rich” was created during a painting trip to Italy. After an eight-hour bus journey in sweltering heat, on uncomfortable seats, through traffic jams and amid restlessness, we finally arrived. The keys to the house, however, didn’t arrive until after sunset.
Hungry, tired and exhausted, we flopped down onto the meadow – and saw towns twinkling like stars. A clear starry sky, a cool breeze rustling through the treetops, crickets chirping softly.
In an instant, all our worries were swept away; the whole world revolved solely around that moment.
We giggled; no amount of money in the world could replicate this moment. No multi-billionaire could ever experience such an authentic evening.
That night, we were far wealthier than any tech giant or oil sheikh – we were star oligarchs.
Daniel Heimgärtner
In his work, he seeks out those special moments in life. Rich colours and an intuitive approach create a unique impression that transports the viewer into a state of contentment.
Speaking about his work, he says that there is already enough grey and oppressive news in the world. – “So why should my art be like that too?”
Nature-inspired motifs and a relaxed approach create uplifting images that can bring a little more joy to any wall.
His works have mainly been exhibited in the Regensburg area and are now also held in international private collections.
