In my art, I ask myself the following question: How do I bring the figure and the background into harmony? I aim to bring the figure(s) and the background into balance not only through complete abstraction, but also by hinting at a surrounding space. In doing so, self-staged reference images, the composition of the figure(s) within the picture and the decision regarding the depiction of clothing/textiles are very important to me. Furthermore, I enjoy experimenting with a lifelike depiction of human skin. I incorporate a variety of elements, ranging from abstract, flat skin tones to a more realistic rendering. Furthermore, I do not wish to adhere to a single painting style, but rather to use every insight to address my artistic questions individually within each work.
