Sophie Claus
As someone who enjoys trying out new media and techniques and who is passionate about new things, my work explores the themes of change, identity, mental health and the relationship between humans and nature.
At the moment, animation has captured my heart and is the focus of my work. Nevertheless, I always enjoy returning to traditional painting, drawing and printmaking.
I am currently studying illustration at HAW Hamburg and am very grateful that my degree programme allows me to engage in such intensive artistic exploration and exchange ideas with others. This allows me to express my inner world and pave my way as an artist in today’s world, which is characterised by information overload and numerous social challenges.
