SKM GALLERY

The SKM Gallery was born out of a desire to bring our online concept from the virtual world into the real world. Here, we aim not only to create a space for exhibiting art, but also a place where encounters, inspiration and exchange can flourish. A place that is open to ideas and creativity.

One gallery. Two concepts.

Spanning over 200 square metres across two floors, from mid-June 2024 we will be hosting changing exhibitions featuring students and graduates from the SKM community. As well as traditional exhibitions, the gallery also regularly hosts exciting and varied events – naturally, all centred around and involving art. If you have any creative ideas of your own that you’d like to bring to life with us, please feel free to get in touch at any time. We look forward to exciting collaborations and events.

Ground floor

On the ground floor, in a space of approximately 100 square metres, we exhibit works by between 4 and 7 artists from the SKM community in a very open and free-form setting. The exhibition there changes regularly and is not theme-based.

First floor

On the first floor, however, themed, temporary exhibitions are held, for which artists submit their works. The exhibition there follows a specific concept and runs for a period of two months.

About the exhibition:

The exhibition “Anpfiff” – Technology and Tactics Through the Lens of Art – opens at our new SKM Gallery Leipzig on 13 June. Co-inciding with the start of the European Football Championship, this exhibition explores the art of the game and the strategy of sport. Until 14 July, discover exciting works of art that highlight the parallels between artistic and sporting tactics. Be inspired and join us in celebrating this double kick-off – for the European Championship and our gallery!

As with our previous exhibitions, we generally place great importance on creating a personal, warm and open atmosphere. At SKM, our mission is to make art more accessible and, at the same time, more personal – and this is, of course, the aim we are pursuing with our gallery concept. We look forward to welcoming many visitors, engaging in fascinating conversations, sharing ideas and undertaking numerous creative projects centred on the theme of art.
