The imagery is taken from pornographic films of the 1970s.
The figures are removed from their original context and transferred to a controlled, emptied pictorial space.
What was originally designed for visibility and accessibility is transformed into distance: the bodies elude the gaze rather than catering to it.

Prof.Her works feature figures who are in a state of transformation. Themes such as pathologisation, family dynamics and states of psychological distress form the backdrop to many of her works. Alongside these, she creates landscape paintings – often nocturnal or atmospherically dense scenes – which serve as quiet counterpoints to her figurative works.
