Das Werk "Crystallized" ist Teil einer Serie, in der ich intuitiv mit Ton arbeite, ohne vorgefertigte Konzepte oder detaillierte Planung. Im Gegensatz zu meinen Malereien, die oft sehr präzise und realistisch sind, entstehen diese Skulpturen aus einem unmittelbaren, impulsiven Prozess heraus. Sie sind für mich ein notwendiger Kontrast zu meinen anderen künstlerischen Medien – ein Weg, Abstand zu gewinnen und einen neuen Blick auf meine Arbeit zu werfen. "Crystallized" erinnert in seiner Form an Salzkristalle oder gewachsene Strukturen aus der Natur. Besonders an diesem Werk ist, dass es auf jeder Seite stehen kann, es hat keine feste Ausrichtung, sondern verändert sich je nach Perspektive. Gleichzeitig gibt es eine kleine Öffnung und einen Hohlraum, wodurch die Skulptur auch als Vase genutzt werden könnte.
Die Materialität spielt eine zentrale Rolle: Die Oberfläche wirkt kristallin, fast mineralisch, und verstärkt die Assoziation mit natürlich gewachsenen Formen. Wie in der gesamten Serie geht es mir hier um eine organische, unkontrollierte Ästhetik – ein Gegenpol zur Kontrolle und Präzision, die viele andere meiner Arbeiten ausmacht.
Diese Keramik wurde aus dunklem Ton geformt, bei 800 °C vorgeschrüht und anschließend mit einer Glasur auf 1250 °C gebrannt, wodurch sie auch wasserfest wird.
Jedes Kunstwerk der Künstlerin Mathilda Augart wird mit Unterschrift und Echtheitszertifikat versendet.
Das Werk ist momentan in der SKM Galerie in Leipzig ausgestellt und kann erst nach der Ausstellung Anfang Mai versendet werden.

Painting
Her painting springs from spontaneous emotion, offering scope for experimentation and the pure joy of creative expression. Whilst academic art education often tends to suppress or conceptualise this authenticity, she carefully preserves it in her painting.
Her creative space allows her to transcend boundaries and make room for the unexpected, resulting in series in which she captures friends and colleagues in various depictions. During the Covid-19 crisis, she also portrayed her neighbourhood, ranging from unaffordable flats to the socially deprived area of Kottbusser Tor.
Her art extends beyond realistic scenes to include depictions of dreams on a surreal level, forming a creative bridge to her sculptural works.

sculptures are an expression of her artistic vision, which focuses on viewing the human being as an architectural structure. Inspired by her childhood fascination with her ancestors’ doll’s house, every room in this metaphorical house symbolises a unique facet of human character. She sees this complex doll’s house within every individual, representing the multi-layered nature of emotions and experiences. Her art explores the significance of self-awareness and delves into the unconscious microcosm that encompasses dreams and the vast world of the subconscious. Through her sculptures, Augart seeks to play with these elements from dreams and to build a bridge between dream and reality.
