Easy as a Gun | Mika Bajinski ist eine gute Freundin und Kollegin aus der berliner Künstlerszene. "Ein letzter Drink an einem dieser faulen Tage im April. Eine leichte Schwere liegt im Raum. Ein elektrisches Kammerorchester spielt Melodien voller Geheimnisse. Dunkle, dissonante Musik für Nachtschwärmer. Ein trauriger Ernst, der kaum in diese alberne Zeit passt, die uns so unbarmherzig umgibt." So die Umschreibung zu Bajinkis Band "Sometimes with Others" und auch Momentum, der dieses Werk erfassen soll. Ihre Stimme geht mir unter die Haut, alle Augen sind auf sie gerichtet, jeglicher Raum um sie herum verschwimmt und auch hier versuche ich, aus einer Serie von Freunden und Collegen, dieses Gefühl visoell festzuhalten.

Painting
Her painting springs from spontaneous emotion, offering scope for experimentation and the pure joy of creative expression. Whilst academic art education often tends to suppress or conceptualise this authenticity, she carefully preserves it in her painting.
Her creative space allows her to transcend boundaries and make room for the unexpected, resulting in series in which she captures friends and colleagues in various depictions. During the Covid-19 crisis, she also portrayed her neighbourhood, ranging from unaffordable flats to the socially deprived area of Kottbusser Tor.
Her art extends beyond realistic scenes to include depictions of dreams on a surreal level, forming a creative bridge to her sculptural works.

sculptures are an expression of her artistic vision, which focuses on viewing the human being as an architectural structure. Inspired by her childhood fascination with her ancestors’ doll’s house, every room in this metaphorical house symbolises a unique facet of human character. She sees this complex doll’s house within every individual, representing the multi-layered nature of emotions and experiences. Her art explores the significance of self-awareness and delves into the unconscious microcosm that encompasses dreams and the vast world of the subconscious. Through her sculptures, Augart seeks to play with these elements from dreams and to build a bridge between dream and reality.
