In the centre of a portrait-oriented sheet is a delicate, black-and-white plotter drawing. It depicts a three-dimensional-looking mesh, composed of fine grid lines, which is reminiscent of a stacked superimposition of conical and cylindrical shapes. The structure appears like a technical, abstracted object – perhaps a combination of a shell, a top section and a base – whose outlines remain only vaguely discernible due to the dense criss-crossing of the lines. The slight tilt and the overlapping of the individual volumes create an impression of movement or digital distortion, as if the object had been frozen in the moment of transformation. The white background remains completely empty, forming a calm surface against which the complex network of lines can stand out with precision and a cool, technical quality.

ARTISTIC PRACTICE
Bianca works with mixed-media approaches at the intersection of photography, time-based media and installation. Her works explore how digital technologies shape perception, social structures and the attribution of value. In doing so, she combines analogue and digital processes and is particularly interested in transitions, reproductions and materialised traces of digitality. Her practice ranges between documentary, installation-based and media-reflective forms.
