Description
In ‘Gezüngel’, numerous small tongues are interwoven. The dense arrangement creates an almost overcrowded, cramped effect. The tongues are reminiscent of the physical act of kissing and evoke the closeness and intimacy associated with it. At the same time, the accumulation of forms seems almost overwhelming, making closeness appear as something tender yet also all-consuming.
This hanging piece is made of clay and coated with a delicate beige-white glaze. The understated colour scheme contrasts with the physically charged formal language of the work.

My name is Lea Borho and, through my art, I explore the subtle connections between people and nature. In my works, I play with reflections and imprints to create new perspectives; in this way, I capture moods that often lie hidden. Calm and contemplative, or intense and full of energy.
