The work consists of two canvases that interact with one another. The shapes extending beyond the edges of the paintings on the left and right are continued on the respective opposite canvas. The unpainted halves of the two canvases represent the missing elements on the other canvas. Ultimately, the unpainted halves, together with the wall behind them, form a work of their own in their own right – a non-representational piece inspired by Abstract Expressionists such as Ad Reinhardt and Mark Rothko.
Both canvases measure 110 x 90 cm each.

Having completed my teacher training in art
,I am now pursuing a degree in fine art.
In my work, I explore visual perception, the duration of perception and the sequence of perception. The focus is on the viewer’s role in completing the artwork. The abstract forms and barely visible contours are intended to invite reflection, association and movement in front of the work.
