The series ‘Heillos versunken’ consists of three works created on paper.

Characterised by a deep, almost trance-like absorption, the series presents an abstract representation that transports the viewer into a world beyond the surface. Acrylic and watercolour paints blend into kaleidoscopic patterns that are both calming and energising.

The composition is intended to create a harmonious disorder in which the various shades interact with one another. The brushwork lends the paintings an organic structure that takes the viewer on a visual journey through abstract landscapes.

. Sophie Bäumer, born in Cologne in 1996, is an up-and-coming artist who has maintained a close connection with painting and creative processes since childhood. Her journey in the art world has been characterised by a continuous quest for self-expression and artistic growth. Her passion for painting developed at an early age, when she began to view the world around her through the lens of art.From 2017 to 2020, she studied art education and therapy at the renowned Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences near Bonn. During her studies, she not only honed her technical skills but also deepened her understanding of the therapeutic power of art.Today, Sophie Bäumer lives in Stuttgart, where she creates her works and continues to develop her artistic expression. Her works are characterised by their versatility and depth. In her paintings, she combines various styles and techniques, through which she has developed a unique visual language. Her art is often characterised by emotional intensity and personal expression, offering a deep insight into her own journey of self-discovery and reflection. Her works are not only visually appealing but also encourage reflection on themes such as identity, emotions and the connection between art and therapy.
