This painting was the result of a random experiment with ink and acrylic. When I created this yellow line and saw how dominant the ink was through the acrylic, there was no doubt about what I feel, this feeling was definitely like the heat of the sun.
Acrylic / ink on canvas.
Gopal Muni
My name is Gopal Muni; I was born in 1992 in the Caucasus region of Russia.
I studied art aesthetics and philosophy from 2014 to 2015 and in 2017 with the artist and sculptor Akhilesh Kumar Rai in Varanasi, India
Since 2023, I have been a student (Fine Art, Diploma) at the University of the Arts Bremen in Prof. Stephan Baumkötter’s class.
I began my creative journey in 2014, and from then on, art became the meaning of my life. My works are created using expressionist techniques, influenced by various emotional states and personal experiences. The themes of my art range from landscapes, fleeting moments of mood, emotions evoked by real-life events, simple abstractions and portrait sketches, to political statements. I am always experimenting with various media, materials, formats and techniques; I never settle on just one thing – for me, painting methods and ways of expressing myself are endless.
For me, art is something like a personal diary, because the process of creating each painting, object or other work forces you to go through many thoughts, experiences and feelings in a short space of time, allowing you to rethink the way you view the world and perceive the things around you and within you.
