“Ever since I began devoting myself to painting, I have repeatedly explored different areas of interest. For a long time, I have been exploring the absurdities and aspects of our society that, in my view, are heading – or could be heading – in the wrong direction. Always with a touch of humour, as I certainly do not wish to exempt myself from this.
For some time now, I have been interested in the visual language of children’s books. In doing so, I try to let my hand run free and work as intuitively as possible. This results in erasures and overpaintings, and whole stories develop in my mind. They are secret stories, perhaps only recognisable to the viewer at second glance. But they may also remain unrecognised and hidden.”
Ina has been part of the Studierenden Kunstmarkt since December 2024.
