Info: Man möchte meinen, die Farben streiten sich um den Platz in der Mitte der Leinwand. Das Rot setzt sich dick und prächtig in das Zentrum der Szene, um es ganz zu vereinnahmen und das schüchterne Blau zu verdrängen. Doch halt... da greift schon das Gelb, das sich mit dem frechen Orange, dem Rosa und einem zarten grünlichen Schimmer verbündet hat, von allen Seiten an! Wie unverschämt, da doch das Orange niemals ohne das Zutun des Rot erstarkt wäre. Von dem Rosa ganz zu schweigen! Wer den Streit gewonnen hätte, wenn ich nicht aufgehört hätte, zu malen... Man kann es nur vermuten.

Leyla Jalili

Leyla Jalili is studying art at the University of Osnabrück. Her main area of work is oil and acrylic painting on large-format canvases. Stylistically, her delicate brushwork and focus on the interplay of light and shadow are particularly noteworthy. In her studio, the artist creates both naturalistic depictions and abstract works on canvas. She captures motifs for her paintings, as well as for her prints and drawings, through photographs and quick sketches that she takes whilst travelling or in her everyday life.
