Year of creation: 2025
The painting was created en plein air in Lüttmoorsiel, near Sankt Peter-Ording.
The atmosphere is brought to life by the movement in the sky; the clouds dissolve into the delicate blue beyond the edge of the picture, spreading out in all directions. In contrast, the clear formations of the moorings in the lower half of the picture bring a sense of calm to the composition. In the background, the Halligen islands are hinted at on the horizon.

Janna Schnoor
Janna Schnoor’s artistic interest lies in the precise and sensitive observation of her surroundings. Direct experience of the landscape is essential to her creative process. Her focus is on the coastal region of Schleswig-Holstein with its wide beaches, steep cliffs and small woods. Through the act of painting, she develops an intense connection with these places, gently exploring and understanding them. Her landscape paintings reflect the artist’s friendly familiarity with her surroundings. The landscape is not captured in a documentary style, but explored in terms of its atmospheric effect. Light plays a central role in this. The paintings glow from within, thereby conveying the transience and fragility of the moments captured.
