Les Étoiles
There are those rare moments when, for a brief instant, you forget just how fast-paced everything around you has become.
A longing that does not hurt. A longing for freedom that begins ever so quietly. A sense that somewhere – perhaps very far away, perhaps only within ourselves – there exists a place where everything makes sense.
A memory of something you’ve never quite experienced.
Your thoughts slow down; for a moment, the world falls completely silent.
Perhaps that is why the stars are so important: they are far away and yet always there.
Les Étoiles is the longing for a little piece of infinity.
It reminds us that we don’t always have to be going somewhere. Sometimes we are exactly where we’re meant to be.

Delivery:
The artwork is shipped stretched on a stretcher frame – including a certificate of authenticity and signature on the reverse.

“For me, it’s always about the material. Whether it’s plastic, metal or light. The material determines the form, the work and the approach. My role as an artist is to recognise and bring out the potential of the material. It is particularly exciting to place seemingly everyday and overlooked objects in a new context. Colour transcends form and lies at the heart of my aesthetic research.”
