Technique:
The work consists exclusively of very small dots. The dots are based on the eye’s natural perception of light. The work thus depicts the natural perception of light, making the otherwise invisible visible. Colour perception changes depending on the angle of the light, though the dominant tone is a light blue (see various photographs). The surface texture features tactile elements, such as reflections on water. The work thus straddles the boundary between sculpture and painting. The paper has a naturally rough texture. The work has a 5 cm wide white paper margin, which can be trimmed if required.
