An endless sky of deep, rich blue stretches across the canvas – perfectly clear, almost unreal. The horizon remains empty, leaving room for the imagination and a sense of vastness.
At the centre: a lighthouse, standing tall and alone, like a silent sentinel. The half-open door invites – or holds one back. It poses questions rather than providing answers.
Warm light streams from the windows, a gentle glow amidst the coolness of the sky – it evokes a sense of closeness, of memory, of something familiar in the distance.
The composition deliberately avoids any distracting landscape elements. Nothing competes with the subject – only the tower, the light, the space. This simplicity creates depth.
It is a painting that demands not only to be looked at, but also to be felt – a quiet moment between solitude and a sense of security, captured in oil on canvas.
