The work depicts a humorous and slightly surreal scene in a rural setting. In the foreground is a wooden fence with a dynamic, curved shape, which lends the picture a playful touch. The colours are vibrant, particularly the brown of the wood, which is rendered with texture through shading and lines.
At the centre of the picture stand two tall cypress trees, which appear unusually human. Both are wearing glasses and appear to be looking at one another. This anthropomorphic depiction lends the work a humorous and whimsical effect. The background consists of a blue hilly landscape characterised by a subtle colour gradient from green to blue, which creates depth and a sense of spatial dimension.
The sun is only partially visible in the picture and shines down from the top left-hand corner. As in the previous work, the clouds are drawn in a childlike style and seem to be observing the scene rather than floating randomly in the sky.
Overall, the work conveys a playful, almost fairy-tale-like atmosphere, emphasised by the unusual anthropomorphisation of the trees and the vibrant colours.
