Description
The work “Not the putty knife you’re looking for” is a humorous response to a ‘missing item’ flyer for a putty knife. It presents a playful interpretation of the lost tool, displayed in a decorative frame. The text on the flyer describes the significance of the putty knife as a family heirloom and asks for any information or for it to be returned. This humorous response plays on the irony and the unexpected loss of an everyday object by presenting the putty knife in a dignified frame, the sort normally reserved for valuable works of art.
