In this work, I immerse myself in an atmosphere of ethereal brightness, dominated by a delicate and enveloping yellow that permeates the entire surface of the canvas. The gently applied paint creates a warm and inviting backdrop that evokes a sense of calm and serenity.
At the centre of the composition, a dark, curved form—composed of brushstrokes in deep blue and violet—stands out powerfully, creating an intense colour contrast. This form, reminiscent of a stylised wing or branch, extends diagonally and suggests a flowing and dynamic movement.
My painting technique is characterised by its free and spontaneous gestures. The visible, textured brushstrokes reveal the creative process and its immediate expressiveness. Drops of paint flowing vertically downwards add a touch of randomness and dynamism, breaking up the static nature of the composition.
The presence of orange splashes of colour in the upper part of the dark form adds a further element of contrast and visual interest. These splashes, like sparks of light, seem to enliven the form and lend it greater vitality.
The work as a whole presents itself as an exploration of the relationship between light and shadow, between form and colour. In this way, I create a floating, dreamlike atmosphere that invites the viewer to engage in inner contemplation. The delicacy of the yellow contrasts with the intensity of the blue and violet, creating a dynamic balance between contrasting elements.
In summary, it is an example of gestural and atmospheric painting, capable of evoking emotions and sensations through the power of colour and the spontaneity of the brushstroke.

. My work arises from a direct, physical engagement with the material. The gesture is central – impulsive, powerful, often spontaneous. Traces such as scratches, colour gradients, overlays and raw edges are deliberately left visible and form an integral part of the picture. The painting process is open-ended, process-oriented and follows no fixed plan. Decisions are made in the moment of movement. In the process, spaces emerge on the canvas or paper that have little to do with classical three-dimensionality. They are mental spaces between eruption and contemplation, between concentration and spontaneity. For me, imperfection is an essential part of the process – it embodies the truth of the process.
My painting
has now moved beyond the two-dimensional plane. I am increasingly working with objects and forms in space. In doing so, I apply painterly principles to other materials – colour becomes physical, movement becomes volume. This gives rise to sculptural works in which gesture, materiality and space come together in new ways.
