Mischtechnik auf Leinwand, Aluminium, Acryl Inck und Lack.
Die Werkreihe Opus Compositum untersucht die Erweiterung der Malerei in den dreidimensionalen Raum. Ausgangspunkt sind Leinwände und Aluminiumplatten, die mit Acryl, Lack und Tusche bearbeitet, gefaltet, eingeschnitten und verformt werden. Dadurch verliert die Malerei ihren rein flächigen Charakter und entwickelt eine plastische Präsenz.
Die Farbe erscheint nicht mehr nur als Bild, sondern als Körper im Raum: sie legt sich auf geknickte, verzerrte und gebrochene Oberflächen und gewinnt eine materielle Eigenständigkeit. Die Werke bewegen sich zwischen Malerei, Skulptur und Objektkunst und eröffnen neue Möglichkeiten des Dialogs mit dem Raum und dem Betrachter.

. My work arises from a direct, physical engagement with the material. The gesture is central – impulsive, powerful, often spontaneous. Traces such as scratches, colour gradients, overlays and raw edges are deliberately left visible and form an integral part of the picture. The painting process is open-ended, process-oriented and follows no fixed plan. Decisions are made in the moment of movement. In the process, spaces emerge on the canvas or paper that have little to do with classical three-dimensionality. They are mental spaces between eruption and contemplation, between concentration and spontaneity. For me, imperfection is an essential part of the process – it embodies the truth of the process.
My painting
has now moved beyond the two-dimensional plane. I am increasingly working with objects and forms in space. In doing so, I apply painterly principles to other materials – colour becomes physical, movement becomes volume. This gives rise to sculptural works in which gesture, materiality and space come together in new ways.
