The works consist of vibrantly coloured, abstract fragments of painting set within neon-coloured acrylic frames. Each fragment appears to be a piece of a larger, hidden whole – similar to the ‘Holocrons’ from the world of science fiction, which store knowledge, energy and memory. This reference serves as a metaphor for the storage and fragmentation of perception, emotion and experience in visual form.
When viewed through ChromaDepth glasses, an additional dimension unfolds: colours are perceived as spatially offset, giving the works a three-dimensional depth. This effect transforms the image from a flat expanse of colour into a floating, almost holographic three-dimensional object.
In terms of content, the works explore themes such as
- perception as a construct,
- memory as a fragment,
- and the interplay between digital and physical reality.
Each fragment can stand on its own, yet at the same time be interpreted as part of a larger ‘system’ – a visually encoded archive that is activated solely by the viewer.
Visually, intense neon colours, sharp contrasts and dynamic compositions combine to create an aesthetic tension between order and chaos, control and the blurring of boundaries.
