In the series “One Title Is Not Enough” (2023), Lause continues to explore autonomous drawing and the techniques and set of rules she has developed herself. These works have a stronger personal connection, as they relate to two recurring dreams that the artist has been exploring since the age of 14. The tension and dynamics between emptiness and fullness are of great significance here, and in these works this is paired with the interplay between the inner and the outer. Viewers find themselves somewhere in a process of becoming emptier or freer, of illumination, the emergence of space, or a contrary tendency towards the disappearance of space and freedom and the descent of darkness.
