Background:
The work is part of a series of urban impressions created during my time in Malacca, exploring the theme of urban aesthetics – home and abroad – in which I examined, amongst other things, the colours and forms of my adopted home, Malaysia. The works created there were last exhibited in Munich in 2024 and are now partly in my warehouse in Starnberg and partly already in private collections. This particular work was also exhibited in a London gallery in the spring of 2024.
