Im Film „Tarifa“ folgen wir dem Spaziergang einer Gruppe mit Hund, die den heimlichen Zauber der Halbinsel „Isla de las Palomas“ erkundet, dem südlichsten Punkt auf europäischem Festland. Möwen, Blütenduft, Leuchtturm, Sonnenuntergang - nichts fehlt zum perfekten Glück. Jene, die die Schönheit des Ortes schmecken dürfen und jene anderen, die keine Papiere und keine Rechte haben, wissen nichts voneinander. Wie gehen wir mit Situationen um, in denen wir erst hinterher erfahren,was dort,wo wir waren, passiert? Wie kann die eigene Sprachlosigkeit zur Sprache werden, ohne für jemand anderes zu sprechen? Am südlichsten Punkt Tarifas erschüttert das nachträgliche Wissen eine verklärte Erinnerung.
