A sense of security, strength, tranquillity, time, vitality, …
Can these associations with the forest be brought into everyday city life? The untreated, rough bark of the coat rack invites you to touch it and feel its texture. The ivy planting is reminiscent of the forest’s protective canopy and gives visitors the chance to linger for a moment in this sense of security and embark on an auditory journey of the mind. Mysterious shapes and indentations in the wood grain of the table form a striking contrast to its modern glass top. The subdued lighting reflects the play of shadows in the forest. The rug and paintings complete the connection between the living room and the forest experience. With this installation, I invite visitors to take a seat and let themselves be carried away: out of the city flat and, in their thoughts, into the depths and tranquillity of the forest. (Exhibited as part of the ‘Waldhaftig schön’ exhibition)
