“The symmetrically arranged branches and twigs, through the way they have been treated, create complex line patterns that would never occur naturally. The work plays with this polarity between naturalness and artificiality.
For me, it represents the fragile structure of our ecosystem whilst also highlighting human intervention in it. What role does humanity play in nature? Is it an attempt at control, or rather a desire for connection and harmony?”

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
Transience
is the central theme of my artistic work, in which I explore ways of making tangible these natural yet uncertain processes of life that lie beyond human control. My fascination with nature and its processes, as well as the question of humanity’s role within them, are my driving forces.
In my works, this is expressed through polarities such as order and chaos, or clarity and blurriness. The line, as an essential design feature, characterises many of my works, and I regard it as a symbol of one’s own lifetime.
