-One-of-a-kind-
For my paintings, I use diluted – and therefore transparent – acrylic paints, which I apply to untreated cotton fabric. To do this, I pour the paints, using brushes and my hands. As I can only control the final forms to a limited extent, a certain element of chance also plays a part. There are extended drying periods between the application of each layer of paint, during which the colours sometimes change again in terms of their form and hue.
Shipping:
The artwork is shipped stretched onto a stretcher frame – complete with a certificate of authenticity and a signature on the reverse.
Ina Streit
In my art, I explore the theme of presence in the sense of consciously perceived presence and immediacy. For me, my art is about paying attention to inner impulses and following my intuition. As my works are inspired by transience and the power of the moment, I often work in silence and see my artistic practice as a form of meditation. I aim to help viewers become more aware of themselves and the value of the moment in a hectic world, and to create an artistic space of possibility where one can pause for a moment and focus on the here and now.
