Leonie Janika Puschmann is studying for a Master’s degree in Fine Art at the Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Prof. Andreas Orosz’s class.

“I portray my surroundings: the people in my life, my family, animals, nature – in short, the world I experience around me. Recently, I have been particularly preoccupied with bird and animal motifs, as well as allegorical questions of freedom and (co-)existence. The themes I explore are, on the one hand, personal, but are also intended to encourage viewers to reflect on their own relationship with nature and their fellow human beings.
