Nils Ullenboom

Nils Ullenboom (1998) is studying art and chemistry at the University of Duisburg-Essen. His work blends scientific curiosity with a love of artistic experimentation: theoretical chemistry, quantum physics and motifs from ‘near-future fiction’ serve as his intellectual laboratory, from which he draws inspiration for his paintings, drawings and prints. Naturalistic paintings, precise drawings and abstract, experimental prints reflect on questions concerning the structure of matter, the determinism of the universe and societal developments. His works offer viewers an engaging encounter and an opportunity to compare them with their own worldviews, whilst awakening an intellectual delight in philosophical and scientific inquiry.
