Unglazed ceramic: 2025
A female figure stands with one arm outstretched upwards and her gaze directed forwards and upwards. Her right lower leg and foot are adorned with golden scars. There must therefore have been a time when she could not stand, at least not unaided.
Although she conforms to the classical ideal of beauty when viewed from the front, from the side she appears far too thin. As if no room had been left for vital organs and bones.
And yet she stands.
Looking straight ahead.
Not brimming with strength and without a shadow of a doubt, but she stands. Again. She can rely on her own body and its strength once more.
I wonder why she doesn’t have a face yet?
