Three etchings on handmade paper, partially overprinted digitally.
The works are mounted on a hand-painted ceramic plate.
Mixed media (etching, digital print, ceramics).
The work addresses the export of decommissioned buses from Germany to other countries and contrasts this practice with the ‘Made in Germany’ quality mark, which is visible on the industrial-looking ceramic plate.
The etching, as a reproducible technique, serves as the central motif: different prints emerge on a single plate, revealing variations and shifts.
In this way, a network of global commodity and usage chains unfolds, in which distinctions between first-class and second-class products become apparent – and with it the question of who has access to new goods and who has to make do with reused, exported goods. The work reflects on prosperity, reuse and the unequal conditions between countries, where industrial quality, circulation and value are negotiated differently.

ARTISTIC PRACTICE
Bianca works with mixed-media approaches at the intersection of photography, time-based media and installation. Her works explore how digital technologies shape perception, social structures and the attribution of value. In doing so, she combines analogue and digital processes and is particularly interested in transitions, reproductions and materialised traces of digitality. Her practice ranges between documentary, installation-based and media-reflective forms.
