Framed in an elegant, black-lacquered wooden shadow-joint frame.
This work forms part of my exploration of spaces, geometries and levels of perception. The combination of architectural elements and abstracted, organic forms creates a connection between structure and nature.
In "Portal", clean lines meet experimental areas of colour. The use of acrylic, charcoal and spray paint gives the work a vibrant texture, whilst the composition strikes a balance between control and free expression. The painting invites the viewer to consider the relationships between space and form in a new light.
The series consists of three works, which can be purchased either individually or as a set.
Zoë Katharina Haupts
Recurring themes in her artistic practice include architectural elements and a play on levels of perception. The abstraction of organic subjects such as cacti and carnivorous plants, as well as experiments with geometric forms, are also an integral part of her work.
Her projects explore the diversity of worldviews, the Anthropocene and the complex relationships between human and non-human actors. In doing so, she moves between constructivist approaches and relational theories in order to discover new perspectives on the reality of everyday life.
Her preferred media are analogue and digital photography, painting and drawing.
