Technique:
The work was created using a mixed-media technique: acrylic paint forms the pictorial foundation, with bold brushstrokes and broad areas of colour. This is complemented by contours and accents, some of which were applied using texture paste (piping bag technique), creating a distinctive tactile texture and dynamism. The combination of painted areas and drawn lines strikes a balance between expression and form.
The work features an expressive, colour-rich depiction of floral motifs. The composition appears dynamic and open, with an emphasis on vibrant colour contrasts. The floral forms are abstracted.

Bloom: Blossoms embody the tension between delicacy and strength, between transience and expression. Their variety of forms, their lines and their rhythm provide a starting point for experimenting with reduction, movement and materiality.
The focus is on reduced line work in the form of line art, the deliberate subversion of hyperrealistic depictions, and the interplay of movement and dynamism. Experimenting with different materials gives rise to varied interpretations of floral motifs.
