Technik:
Die florale Form wurde zunächst mit Strukturpaste modelliert, wodurch eine reliefartige Oberfläche entstand. Mit Acrylfarbe wurde der Hintergrund gemalt. Anschließend wurde gehäkelte Baumwolle auf die geformte Struktur aufgeklebt. Die Leinwand selbst ist 1,5 cm breit. Dazu kommen ca. 1,5 cm der Modellierung.
Das Werk ist Teil einer neuen Reihe, in der mit gehäkelter Baumwolle gearbeitet wird. In dieser Skulptur wurde eine abstrahierte Blume in kräftigem Pink gestaltet.

Bloom: Blossoms embody the tension between delicacy and strength, between transience and expression. Their variety of forms, their lines and their rhythm provide a starting point for experimenting with reduction, movement and materiality.
The focus is on reduced line work in the form of line art, the deliberate subversion of hyperrealistic depictions, and the interplay of movement and dynamism. Experimenting with different materials gives rise to varied interpretations of floral motifs.
