In this mountain painting, the evening light creates an atmosphere characterised by a sense of longing. Unusually for Neah’s mountain paintings, the viewer is placed on solid ground and is presented with a view across the rolling, green valley towards an almost golden-hued mountain range stretching into the background. The gentle hills are framed by rivers. In the foreground, a swarm of butterflies takes flight, evoking the feeling of having captured a fleeting moment.
Neah Byson (née Mohan) is a painter and photographer. Her primary focus lies on the painterly exploration of mountain landscapes and portrait photography.
The original painting is executed in high-quality acrylic paints. The painting is stretched onto a canvas stretcher and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
