Humanity finds itself in a world that it has created itself, yet which nevertheless overwhelms it
The image depicts a landscape that appears both real and alien. The rock faces are monumental, cool and sharply defined. The colours seem unusual, almost artificial. The space opens upwards, appearing bright, yet remains difficult to navigate in its structure. One finds oneself right in the middle of it, with no overview and no clear path. There is no visible place of retreat, nor any clear destination. One’s gaze is drawn upwards, towards the bright sky, whilst the path ahead appears rocky and uncertain.
As you look around, a sense of tension arises: you feel drawn in and yet unsettled; fascination and unease lie close together. The place seems overwhelming. It draws you in, appears vast, almost sublime. At the same time, one feels out of place. The surroundings do not seem designed for human presence. They are cool, smooth, uninviting. One wonders how one got here, what lies ahead, and whether there is even a destination. And likewise, whether one really wants to go back.
This tension can be applied to the world in which we live today. We have created an environment characterised by technology, speed and constant change. Much of it seems efficient, well thought-out and functional. At the same time, for many people, this world feels cold, overwhelming and difficult to fathom. It is of our own making, yet it is not suited to us. It makes many things easier, whilst at the same time demanding constant adaptation.
As in the image, there is no clear way back. Digital systems, technical structures and new ways of working have long been part of everyday life. We use them, rely on them, and yet feel uncertain about where they are leading us. Progress is visible, yet its consequences are hard to fathom. We find ourselves in a world that we need, yet which simultaneously raises questions to which there are no simple answers.
The image reflects this state of affairs. It shows no destination, no safe path, no resolution. Instead, it depicts a space in between: between reality and artificiality, between attraction and being overwhelmed, between curiosity and uncertainty. We are already part of this world. We stand within it. We must navigate it, even when clear orientation is not possible.
It is precisely here that the image’s core message lies: it describes a situation in which responsibility has become inescapable. We stand in a world that we ourselves have shaped. It fascinates us, it drives us on, it overwhelms us. There is no turning back. How we proceed from here remains open. The painting captures this state of affairs.

Acrylic on canvas. There are three sawtooth hangers on the back of the stretcher frame.
The landscape is painted with high-quality acrylic paints. The original painting is sealed with a varnish and signed on the front and back.

Regensburg. It was there that I discovered my love of landscape painting. In particular, during the painting excursions I regularly took part in, I developed a deep connection with nature and a passion for the diversity of colours that we often fail to notice in everyday life. I often lose myself in the many facets of nature and observe it with a discerning eye.
In my works, which are predominantly created using acrylic paint, I aim to highlight and exaggerate the variety of colours that can be discovered in nature upon close observation. In doing so, I alter the colours and consciously transform them to create unique atmospheres of colour and light. Despite these alterations, it is of great importance to me to keep
the forms true to what can be observed and to nature
. Through the manipulation of colours, I often succeed in creating mystical, dark, stormy and dynamic colour schemes. My choice of tranquil subjects, such as solitary trees or distant cloudscapes, harmonises perfectly with a dynamic choice and application of colour. As a result, my landscapes are both serene and dynamic and wild. They are characterised by contrasts between light and dark, between gloom and vibrant colours.
Through my unique colour and light atmospheres, my distortions of reality and my constant artistic development, I set myself apart from other landscape painters. My works offer the viewer a special artistic experience, immersing them in a world full of unique moods and sensations.
