You can be ready and still not take the first step, because you want to be sure first.
You can see the way forward.
You know what needs to be done.
And yet you still don’t set off.
There are moments when everything is ready.
The path lies ahead.
And yet you stand still.
Your gaze stretches far into the distance; the path winds away behind you, pointing the way clearly. The sky looms large overhead, making everything else seem smaller. The atmosphere remains calm yet oppressive. Everything is in motion; the rustling of the trees is almost audible. On the horizon lies the setting sun, far away and clearly marked out as a destination. The path seems to have been decided long ago.
As it recedes into the distance, the path loses its definition. It remains visible ahead, but becomes blurred and darker behind. The direction is set, but the course remains undefined. The red lights create accents that provide both orientation and a sense of unease. Before taking the first step, there is the shadow that must first be overcome.
The path is visible, the direction is clear. I know I could walk. Yet I stand still. I see what lies ahead, but not what happens in between. I do not know what awaits me. I am drawn forwards, yet at the same time the uncertainty holds me back.
That moment when everything feels certain never comes. Those who wait for it remain standing still. Even if it doesn’t feel like it, you often already have enough to set off. That is precisely the point: this standing still, this brooding, this doubting.
Everything remains open.
I could go.
I could turn back.
But I stand rooted to the spot.

The canvas is particularly deep at 4.5 cm. This extra depth makes the painting stand out from the wall.

The work is shipped stretched on a stretcher frame – including a certificate of authenticity, frame and signatures on the front and back.
Due to its size and insured value, the artwork will be dispatched via a specialist courier. It may therefore take up to a week for the artwork to be dispatched.

Regensburg. It was there that I discovered my love of landscape painting. In particular, during the painting excursions I regularly took part in, I developed a deep connection with nature and a passion for the diversity of colours that we often fail to notice in everyday life. I often lose myself in the many facets of nature and observe it with a discerning eye.
In my works, which are predominantly created using acrylic paint, I aim to highlight and exaggerate the variety of colours that can be discovered in nature upon close observation. In doing so, I alter the colours and consciously transform them to create unique atmospheres of colour and light. Despite these alterations, it is of great importance to me to keep
the forms true to what can be observed and to nature
. Through the manipulation of colours, I often succeed in creating mystical, dark, stormy and dynamic colour schemes. My choice of tranquil subjects, such as solitary trees or distant cloudscapes, harmonises perfectly with a dynamic choice and application of colour. As a result, my landscapes are both serene and dynamic and wild. They are characterised by contrasts between light and dark, between gloom and vibrant colours.
Through my unique colour and light atmospheres, my distortions of reality and my constant artistic development, I set myself apart from other landscape painters. My works offer the viewer a special artistic experience, immersing them in a world full of unique moods and sensations.
