Renewal takes place, but it does not erase what once was.
The gaze wanders over a barren, dark landscape beneath a shifting sky. The ground appears stony and exhausted, as though heat or overuse had left its mark. Scattered red streaks, reminiscent of embers, glow amongst the grey and green expanses. In the distance, a few branches and structures still stand out. They remain as remnants of what once was here. The light in the sky remains unsettled, as if the atmosphere were slowly reorganising itself.
The landscape illustrates how human interventions alter landscapes and how these changes endure. The earth preserves traces of past interventions. In this way, the landscape becomes a visible archive of human decisions. Yet even from a scarred landscape, new forms and colours emerge. Change becomes visible, whilst the traces of the past remain.
Actions have repercussions, both in nature and within ourselves. Renewal takes place, but it does not erase what was. Every trace remains part of the whole and shapes what emerges afterwards. To move forward means living with the consequences of one’s own decisions. Everything we do leaves an impact. Therein lies responsibility. What has been remains and shapes the present. Those who move forward can create something new from what has gone before.
Material / Technique:
Acrylic on canvas in a shadow-joint frame. The landscape is painted with high-quality acrylic paints. The original painting is sealed with a Lascaux varnish and signed on the front and back.
Frame:
The shadow-joint frame is included with purchase. This frame does not contain a glass pane. The painting is screwed into the frame at the back. The distinctive feature of a shadow-joint frame is the visible joint between the stretcher and the outer frame: This draws the viewer’s attention to the subject. The shadow-gap frame, made of solid wood, is painted black, allowing the wood grain to remain visible. There are three sawtooth hangers on the back: one in the centre and one on each side.
External dimensions of the frame: 84 x 64 cm
Depth of the frame: 37 mm
Shipping:
The artwork is shipped stretched on a stretcher frame – complete with a certificate of authenticity, frame and signature on the front and back.

of
Regensburg. It was there that I discovered my love of landscape painting. In particular, during the painting excursions I regularly took part in, I developed a deep connection with nature and a passion for the diversity of colours that we often fail to notice in everyday life. I often lose myself in the many facets of nature and observe it with a discerning eye.
In my works, which are predominantly created using acrylic paint, I aim to highlight and exaggerate the variety of colours that can be discovered in nature upon close observation. In doing so, I alter the colours and consciously transform them to create unique atmospheres of colour and light. Despite these alterations, it is of great importance to me to keep
the forms true to what can be observed and to nature
. Through the manipulation of colours, I often succeed in creating mystical, dark, stormy and dynamic colour schemes. My choice of tranquil subjects, such as solitary trees or distant cloudscapes, harmonises perfectly with a dynamic choice and application of colour. As a result, my landscapes are both serene and dynamic and wild. They are characterised by contrasts between light and dark, between gloom and vibrant colours.
Through my unique colour and light atmospheres, my distortions of reality and my constant artistic development, I set myself apart from other landscape painters. My works offer the viewer a special artistic experience, immersing them in a world full of unique moods and sensations.
