Wenn ich an diesem Bild gearbeitet habe, war es weniger ein geplantes Vorgehen als ein Eintauchen in einen Fluss aus Bewegung und Farbe. Die breiten Pinselzüge sind Spuren von Gesten, die spontan entstanden sind – ein Wechselspiel aus Ruhe und Impuls. Das kühle Violett bringt für mich eine sanfte Tiefe, während die warmen Orangetöne und das Rot wie Funken wirken, die Energie und Lebendigkeit in die Fläche bringen.
Ich wollte einen Raum schaffen, in dem sich die Formen frei entfalten, sich begegnen, sich überlagern – so wie Gedanken oder Gefühle, die nicht in einer Linie verlaufen, sondern sich kreuzen und miteinander tanzen. Für mich ist dieses Werk wie ein Moment, der sowohl wild als auch klar ist, ein Gleichgewicht aus Bewegung und Stillstand.

. My work arises from a direct, physical engagement with the material. The gesture is central – impulsive, powerful, often spontaneous. Traces such as scratches, colour gradients, overlays and raw edges are deliberately left visible and form an integral part of the picture. The painting process is open-ended, process-oriented and follows no fixed plan. Decisions are made in the moment of movement. In the process, spaces emerge on the canvas or paper that have little to do with classical three-dimensionality. They are mental spaces between eruption and contemplation, between concentration and spontaneity. For me, imperfection is an essential part of the process – it embodies the truth of the process.
My painting
has now moved beyond the two-dimensional plane. I am increasingly working with objects and forms in space. In doing so, I apply painterly principles to other materials – colour becomes physical, movement becomes volume. This gives rise to sculptural works in which gesture, materiality and space come together in new ways.
