In der Serie Opus Compositum verwandelt sich Malerei in ein räumliches Ereignis. Die Leinwand löst sich aus ihrer Fläche, Farbe bricht auf, Materialien verschieben sich und treten in den Raum hinein. Fragmente, Gesten und Brüche offenbaren eine Energie, die sich nicht in zwei Dimensionen bändigen lässt.
Jedes Werk trägt den Moment der Transformation in sich – ein Aufbrechen, ein Herauslösen, ein Sich-Behaupten über den Rahmen hinaus. Malerei wird Körper, wird Handlung, wird Präsenz. So entsteht eine Spannung zwischen Bild und Skulptur, zwischen Zerstörung und Neubeginn, zwischen Kontrolle und Zufall.
Opus Compositum lädt dazu ein, das Bild nicht nur zu betrachten, sondern es als dynamischen Prozess zu erfahren – als Kunstwerk, das den Raum ebenso ergreift wie den Betrachter.

. My work arises from a direct, physical engagement with the material. The gesture is central – impulsive, powerful, often spontaneous. Traces such as scratches, colour gradients, overlays and raw edges are deliberately left visible and form an integral part of the picture. The painting process is open-ended, process-oriented and follows no fixed plan. Decisions are made in the moment of movement. In the process, spaces emerge on the canvas or paper that have little to do with classical three-dimensionality. They are mental spaces between eruption and contemplation, between concentration and spontaneity. For me, imperfection is an essential part of the process – it embodies the truth of the process.
My painting
has now moved beyond the two-dimensional plane. I am increasingly working with objects and forms in space. In doing so, I apply painterly principles to other materials – colour becomes physical, movement becomes volume. This gives rise to sculptural works in which gesture, materiality and space come together in new ways.
