Dieses Werk zeigt das klassisches Motiv der Rose, übersetzt in eine zeitgenössische, reduzierte Bildsprache. In diesem charakteristischen Linienstil entsteht eine neue Form von Darstellung, in der sich Figur und Umgebung gleichermaßen aus schwingenden, organischen Linien aufbauen.
Diese prägnanten Konturen tragen im Zusammenspeil mit kraftvollen Farben eine lebendige Dynamik in sich: Sie pulsieren, vibrieren und verleihen dem Motiv eine fast rhythmische Bewegung. Die Rose wirkt dadurch weniger statisch als vielmehr wie ein wachsender, sich entfaltender Impuls im Raum.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
Transience
is the central theme of my artistic work, in which I explore ways of making tangible these natural yet uncertain processes of life that lie beyond human control. My fascination with nature and its processes, as well as the question of humanity’s role within them, are my driving forces.
In my works, this is expressed through polarities such as order and chaos, or clarity and blurriness. The line, as an essential design feature, characterises many of my works, and I regard it as a symbol of one’s own lifetime.
