One-off
This work depicts the classic motif of the rose, rendered in a contemporary, minimalist visual language. This distinctive line style gives rise to a new form of representation, in which both the subject and its surroundings are constructed from flowing, organic lines.
These striking contours, in combination with bold colours, possess a lively dynamism: they pulsate, vibrate and lend the motif an almost rhythmic movement. As a result, the rose appears less static and more like a growing, unfolding impulse within the space.

The work is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
Transience
is the central theme of my artistic work, in which I explore ways of making tangible these natural yet uncertain processes of life that lie beyond human control. My fascination with nature and its processes, as well as the question of humanity’s role within them, are my driving forces.
In my works, this is expressed through polarities such as order and chaos, or clarity and blurriness. The line, as an essential design feature, characterises many of my works, and I regard it as a symbol of one’s own lifetime.
