Das sagt die Künstlerin zum Werk:
"Stormy Monday ist Teil meiner Fotoserie Blues. In dieser habe ich tanzende Bewegungen mithilfe der Lichtmalerei-Technik eingefangen. Die Fotos zeigen die Spur der Bewegungen in Form von Linien. Bewegungen geschehen in einem klitzekleinen Moment, der blitzschnell vorübergeht und so bieten diese Bilder den Versuch diesen einzigartigen Moment einzufangen und nachspüren zu können. Jedes Bild der Serie trägt den Titel eines Blues-Songs, zu dem performt wurde."

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
Transience
is the central theme of my artistic work, in which I explore ways of making tangible these natural yet uncertain processes of life that lie beyond human control. My fascination with nature and its processes, as well as the question of humanity’s role within them, are my driving forces.
In my works, this is expressed through polarities such as order and chaos, or clarity and blurriness. The line, as an essential design feature, characterises many of my works, and I regard it as a symbol of one’s own lifetime.
