Material: Anthracite-coloured wooden frame, acrylic glass panels at the front and back, glass bottles containing hand-dyed pigments (shades of purple and pink) arranged inside. One-off piece, shadow box depth 9 cm, dimensions 55 × 38 × 9 cm.
Technique:
An assemblage is a three-dimensional collage: found or manufactured individual components (here: wooden frame, acrylic pane, glass bottles, pigments) are spatially assembled to form a new art object. Elements are joined, secured and often related to one another through spatial depth, light and material contrasts. The aim is to emphasise materiality and convey meaning through combination.
Shipping:
The object is first wrapped in tissue paper and 2–3 layers of bubble wrap; the acrylic front is additionally protected with a sturdy cardboard sheet. Packed in a sturdy outer box with padding, taped crosswise and marked with ‘FRAGILE’ and directional arrows. Dispatched with photographic documentation of the condition prior to dispatch. Includes a certificate of authenticity and a signature on the reverse.
