*Impulse* is an abstract composition in acrylic on canvas which conveys a sense of tension and movement through its dynamic colour scheme and gestural painting style. Warm shades of yellow and ochre meet soft tones of green, white and beige, which appear to be swirling and blend fluidly into one another. Isolated, powerful black accents break the calm of the surface and provide bursts of energy. The composition appears both light and multi-layered – an interplay of restraint and expressiveness, of stillness and movement.

Her artistic practice is centred on the medium of painting. Thematically, she explores the boundaries – or rather, the blurring of boundaries – within painting. Her creative process involves experimental work and the exploration of various techniques and materials to achieve unique effects.
