The painting was created in January 2026 on location on the banks of a frozen pond. It was painted wet-on-wet using plenty of water; subsequently, individual sections of the trees were accentuated with linear strokes whilst the paper still retained a small amount of residual moisture. The painting style is fluid, with a focus on movement and transition. The predominant colours are cool blue-green tones and violet, contrasted by subtle warm accents of yellow and brown.

The artwork is dispatched unframed with a passe-partout – including a certificate of authenticity and the artist’s signature on the reverse.

– Shapes – Lines: For me, painting and drawing are an important and fulfilling means of expression. I find it a wonderful experience to bring pure pigments, combined with various binders, to life as a composition on canvas. My experience in drawing from my background in landscape architecture often finds its way into my work as graphic elements.
From 2004 onwards, further training in painting with, amongst others, Alex Bär, Marika Wille-Jais, Sylvia Roubaud and Gerhard Marquard; life drawing with Ruth Effer
