Medium/Technique: Gouache and acrylic on painting board
Year: 2021
Info: “Study in Blue and Gold” is a precursor to my current work and one of my earliest explorations of the human body. Two human-like figures interact with one another in monochrome colours, with the impasto-like golden acrylic paint creating a strong contrast. This study thus combines an approach that is the opposite of my current style with the beginnings of a long exploration of the human organism as a unique entity.
“Study in Blue and Gold” was painted on a canvas-covered painting board and is therefore ideal for individual framing.
The painting will be dispatched unframed.

I’m an art student from Kiel, though I actually grew up in idyllic Lübeck, and have been studying art to become a teacher in the interdisciplinary class taught by Prof. Dr Almut Linde at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts since October 2020. I’ve been painting with my favourite medium – oil paint – since I was 14. Starting out with portrait painting, over the years I’ve developed the distinctive colour palette that characterises my paintings; the magic that can arise between colours when used correctly continues to fascinate me to this day and motivates me to keep going.
I have already had the opportunity to exhibit my work in a number of exhibitions and am extremely grateful for any further opportunities :)
